Still no audio on export? (AME)

Adobe Media Encoder CC 2015 version 9.2.0.26 for OSX.

Shooting with a Sony a7S (ILCE-7S) Apple HQ, 422 3840x2160

I have a lot of Ultra HD footage to prep and edit;  1st step is to do batch resizing of the footage for fast editing.

+ Batch converting in encoder to ProRes422 1920x1080

- Every file exported has NO AUDIO!

- Every attempt with different settings I have tried in encoder results in NO AUDIO.

+ If I export from Adobe Premiere the audio works fine, But I have hundreds of clips!!!

+ If I cued up my edited sequences of the original footage (Sony a7S ProRes422HQ) in Adobe Media Encoder, No audio!!

I have to do color correcting / FX work on the originals files eventually. So I can’t use a 3rd party app to batch converts of the files as a final fix. This needs happen within the Adobe work flow or I am just wasting my time.

3 Years you seem to have had this VERY NASTY BUG. Why is there no fix????

in 2016, media encoder bluray option still doesn't offer support for 1080p 59.94...why?

Media Encoder not installing

Hello,

I am trying to install AME from the Creative Cloud Apps. After no progress is made it throws an error..

Installation Failed

Unable to reach Adobe servers. Please check your internet connectivity, firewall settings, and then try again.

I have everything that could prevent this from installing down, so there should be no interference, but to no avail.

Please Advise.

This (see below) is happening everywhere. AME has crashed my computer several times. Full shut down.

OpenCL renders don't work w/ lumitree or hardly ever. CUDA is about a 65% success rate. Software rendering works but is painfully slow.

How to make an animated GIF?

Hello! I've just tried a trial of Animate CC + Adobe Media Encoder.

I have a very simple task to make an animated GIF out of my .fla file.

But when I try making that in AME I cannot(!) make a single animated GIF. It always gives me a sequence of gif images. But I need a single file (just what good old Flash could do via it's Publish menu).

So my question is: how can I export a single gif animation?

Thank you.

When I press queue on Premiere it says that Adobe Media Encoder is not installed.

You can imagine this is frustrating because not only am I paying monthly for this program, but it is open on my computer right now!! Does anybody have advice? It is infuriating that there are no support options on weekends as if everybody who uses their products would never use them on a weekend.

GPU as video renderer options

Software list:                                                       Hardware list:

Premiere Pro CC 2015                                         NVidia GeForce GTX Titan X

Media Encoder CC 2015

Windows 10 Pro

Relevant information:

Recently transferred computer from its previous case to new rack-mount case.

Previously was able to choose the Titan X as a renderer option in Media Encoder queue box and would render videos out at a fraction of the time it would on my company's Macs. After the transfer, the Titan X is no longer an option. Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration (CUDA) is still an option and renders video at a rate equal to our Macs. As well as MPE software only option. Nothing was uninstalled or deleted in the transfer.

My process for rendering video is:

Import to Premiere, cut, color correct, export to Media Encoder queue, and render.

Alternatively, have used Premiere to also render instead of using Media Encoder. (has cut minutes off of total render time. but as a whole not the ideal situation, where previously it had cut a large percentage of time off of total render time)

Troubleshoot attempts:

Reinstalled Media Encoder CC, Premiere Pro CC, CUDA drivers, NVidia drivers.

Checked in Premiere for Video Rendering and Playback options for renderers: MPE CUDA and MPE software only.

Have run GPUSniffer.exe:

--- GPU Computation Info ---

found 1 devices supporting GPU computation.

CUDA Device 0 -

     Name: GeForce GTX TITAN X

     Vendor: NVIDIA

     Capability: 5.2

     Driver: 8

     Total Video Memory: 12288MB

My question is this:

Is there a way to enable only or mostly the GPU to render video? Previously our render times would be minutes as opposed to now it is hours.

Alternate question: Is there a way to enable the GPU as a renderer option in Premiere Pro or Media Encoder? We had the option before and now it is no longer available.

Not sure if I am wording this incorrectly, but thought I would check the forums to see if there was any outside help available. All Google searches have led me back and around Mercury Playback Engine, which is enabled already. Not what I am looking for.

Thank you.

a single clip in a sequence shows as offline

I've ingested several Panasonic 1080p MXF clips using P2 Viewer Plus and imported them into a sequence in Premiere Pro.  When I export the sequence to AME to create a 720p mp4 file for client review, one clip shows only a red "offline" graphic. I can't figure out why or get it to export properly.   I'd just delete the darned thing but there's a good sound bite in the problem clip.  Any ideas?

I just started using a Panasonic AG-AC130P and am filming in  PH 1080/24P  I need to make a disc for my customer that they in turn can put on you tube.  I am confused as to what format to set the project to when I use media encoder prior to going  to encore to create the disc.  I am using CS6 for everything.  I have tried various formats but you tube will not process them.  Can anyone give me some suggestions?  I would really appreciate the help.  thank you

A bug in Media Encoder ?

Let's say I have a video that ends with picture on the time line but without any sound on the sound track (for example credentials without sound). If I encode the video with Media encoder, the last second of sound is repeating until the end of the video.

The only solution I found to avoid this problem is to edit a sound until the end of the video and to mute its volume.

Today I discovered occurs even in the middle of a video. If the soundtrack is empty, the previous piece of sound in the time line is repeated in the encoded video.

This problem does not occur when I encode directly from Adobe Premiere.

Did anybody experienced the same problem?

Thank a lot

Adobe Media Encoder 2015 not rendering motion blur

$

I'm rendering some particle effects with Trapcode Particular. These have motion blur enabled.

If I render directly from After Effects 2105, the blur is there.

But, if I render the same compositions with Adobe Media encoder, the motion blur does not render.

I've seen this issue reported 9 months ago on the Creative Cow forum, with no answer!

10 bit color depth AVC or HEVC in AME

$

Hello, I'm trying to create UHD files in Adobe Media Encoder (2015.2 release, OSX10.11.1).  These are the specs I'm trying to meet -

AVC 2160p24

.mpg or .ts

AVC Profile High10 or High422

AVC Level 5.1

Color depth 10 bits

or

HEVC 2160p24

.mpg or .ts

HEVC Profile Main10

HEVC Level 5.0 High Tier

Color depth 10 bits

The problem is I seem to only be able to get 8 bit color depth.  Does this release of AME support 10 bit or is it hidden in a setting I might be missing?

Thanks for your help!

Alpha Channel / Media Encoder Question

$

Hello All,

I have a question that I think is just something I'm overlooking. I have a Comp with a logo. The logo is made up of various files and does not have a solid background. It's very similar to a lower third. When I render it out in AE via the Render Que I have no issues and the Alpha channel works as expected when imported into PPRO. The setting I use is QuickTime>Animation>RGB+Alpha, etc.

This morning I decided I wanted to start rendering via Media Encoder. I watched the video Colin Smith did a bout a year ago to refresh my memory.

I fired up Media Encoder, dragged my logo comp into ME and everything seemed to being going beautifully. I chose QuickTime> Animation codec>etc.

However when imported the file into PPRO the Alpha channel did not render. Where the Alpha channel is supposed to be PPRO read as black video. I went back in ME and doubled checked all of the settings. I do not see anywhere in ME where you can specify an Alpha channel as you can in AE where you can specify "RGB+Alpha".

Is there a setting in ME to activate/read the alpha channel that I'm missing? I'd really like to use ME for future AE comp renderings but unless I can get around the Alpha channel issue I won't be able to.

CS6 all up to date

Win Vista (not that I think any system specs matter in this instance).

Thank you in advance,

Shane

Hi ppl, recently i bought Nvidia GTX 980 and switched my GTX 560 Ti. Right after that tried Media Encoder and it perform perfectly (card utilization was 60-70%) great speed. After i updated the display drivers to the last version all went down...card utilization go to 0% and no more hardware acceleration no mather what i`ve done (includiong fix "cuda_supported cards.txt"). So any help will be apreciated. Especialy if Adobe developers add GTX 980 to the suported cards My rig: AMD FX8350, 16GB RAM, Win10, GTX 980. Thanks a lot!
