10/11/2016 08:41:14 AM : Queue Stopped

My computer:

Source file:

Preset settings:

I tried to compress this file twice with the same result. It fails in the last hour (out of an estimated 11 hours) and I end up with an empty 24 bytes mp4 file.

I don't know if it fails at the very end or not as I'm not in front of the computer when it fails.

Does anyone have an idea of a work around I could try to get this render done?

Thanks!

Is it possible to create an animated GIF with transparency in AME?

$

0

I have Adobe Media Encoder CS5.5 with Windows 7.  Is it possible to save a video (I saved it as uncompressed AVI from After Effects) as an animated GIF with transparency in it (eg. black=transparent)?

I also have VirtualDub 1.9.11 but don't see a transparency option in that.

It's for the web where I'd like the normal web background to show in the black (ie. should be transparent) parts of the GIF.

I used to be able to export files from Premiere by choosing the Queue option.
After my last update, Premiere now tells me I don't have Media Encoder - when clearly I do.
What's the fix guys?
Thanks.

Lower quality still images from AME as compared to Premiere Pro

Hi everyone!

Could someone confirm my issue?

I got much lower quality render in output (still image) using Adobe Media Encoder 2017 compared to Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017 output (same settings).

I send project from APP to AME (ctrl+M > Queue btn)

Adobe Media Encoder 2017 add GOP's (media info) and render lower quality output but why?

Rendering Issue

Hello there.

I'm trying to export/render out a video meant for Youtube that's an hour and 35 minutes long. However despite several attempts, the end result is always a blurry, ugly mess. What can I do to fix this? Is it my settings? If so, here's what I have everything set to:Screenshot_263.png

Is it the bit-rate (it's definitely the bit-rate isn't it)? Should I lower it? Anything I should untick like Maximum Render Quality? Please help me out, the rendering takes three hours and I can't waste my days trying to get this right by making shots in the dark.

Thank you.

So a few days ago i download adobe premiere and CC 2017 and media encoder, at first I could import my mp4 files with no problem abd export them as h.264 format with no problem. But now I can't import mp4 files at all, it only imports the audio. I converted all my files to AVI and i finally could import them but whenever i tried to  export it i got the following error:

Adobe Media Encoder 2017 H.264 Exports Different Quality VS Previous Versions

$

Hello,

I have discovered that H.264 files rendered out in AME 2017 are nearly 50% lower bitrate than those rendered out in AME 2015 and 2014.  This is a problem as I need to utilize the previous version of AME for a project and have matching bitrates.

Does anybody have any advice or is anyone else experiencing this same situation?

Note: I am comparing the preset "Match Source - Medium bitrate" at 720p with my source file being 1080p.

Note 2: After further testing, in AME 2015, I have to set the "Target bitrate" to 1.8 mbps to match the setting of 3 mbps in AME 2017.

Thank you and Blessings,

Steven Dunn

Media Encoder Slows PC while Exporting from After effects

$

Hi all.

I have read a lot of discussions lately about Media Encoder slowing the PC down. I have the similar issue. As I could see, people have trouble answering the topic because of lack of information. I have gathered all evidences I could. Hope this will help and will be glad to hear an answer from you.

First of all, my specs.

Product:

AME CC 2017 update from April 2017

After Effects CC 2017 update from April 2017

PC Specs:

Motherboard: MSI Z170-A PRO (MS-7971)

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz

Video: Gigabyte G1 NVidia GeForce GTX 1080 8GB

RAM: Team Group 16GB (8x2) 2400 GHZ

1 HDD split in 3 disks and 1 SSD where Windows and Adobe installed

Project used: https://bit.ly/2n4wtIy  (not mine), free, found on YouTube.

Project Name (from folder): Unknown geometry.

Now the issue.

As I could see, AME, when started, starts to use "Handles" process.

task manager.JPG

As the project is running, "Handles" process is starting to increase in size (mine in standby is around 40k, in picture you can see already over 156k).

As this number increases, the PC starts to slow down. and at one point (in my case 2+ million) PC starts to lag like windows 95 when lunching Overwatch.

In this situation I used 2 projects (same original project, but with 2 different modification and file name saves) and as you can see, after one project (approximate 1 hour) the handles still where increasing but did not reset by logic.

after 1 project.JPG

As I found out, this "Handles" number was working because of a background process of After Effects as in picture below (this is not the Application but a background process!!!), which is bound to the AME.

backgorund process.JPG

As a workaround of this, I kill the background process. This is not harming the Encoding, the AME starts another Adobe After Effects process and starts over from the beginning. As you can see, my "handles" number decreases to the lowest point and starts again. As you can see, the second projects still runs.

after killing the background.JPG

And the last picture is the RAM allocated to the AME.

memory allocation.JPG

Anyway, as I saw, that if the process is killed after 2 million "Handles" (in my case), the project Fails with the message "Stopped by user".

I am relatively new to the After effects hard rendering and I cannot confirm this issue on earliest Version (had CC 2015 before).

I can confirm no issue on Premiere Pro tho (up to 20 projects left to render at night in queue almost for 1 year).

These are my finding and you have the access to the folder and all data I could gather.

I would really appreciate an answer as it is really disturbing killing the background process every 2 hours.

As the end point, and because we are professionals here, I would really appreciate skipping the parts involving: clear cache from after effects, save the project to one disk but export to another, export to SSD, reinstall the application and other things as they were already done several times.

Thanks to all and hope I could help.

MP3 transcode stutters

Hello!

Pardon my ignorance.

I transcode an MP3 to any other format that I can think of with encoder, and the results "skip" when played back in VLC, Quicktime player or on a Premiere timeline ... The original played fine in VLC and Quicktime, but stutters, or Skips in Premiere ... (which is why I am trying to covet the file ..)

My gratitude to anyone who can give me a helping hand ..

No audio on export

I'm baffled by this problem and really need to find a solution ASAP.  I am using creative cloud, and files fed directly into media encoder are exporting silent audio tracks.  Media encoder appears to complete the export, but the resulting files have no sound.

If I export the same clip from premiere pro from the timeline it works just fine and audio is present.

My theory is that media encoder isn't conforming the audio clips it imports.  Any thoughts or fixes?  Has anyone here had this issue?  Thanks!

Media Encoder fails exporting in DCP with error code 3

Hello !

I am having several issues with Media Encoder.

I will talk about only one in this topic.

I am trying to export my Premiere project with the DCP Wrapper preset and it keeps on failing.

Here is the log message (in French, sorry) :

"

- Délai de codage : 00:33:21

03/28/2017 04:56:14 PM : Echec du codage

"

The project is 04:43 long so I cannot identify where the problem is.

I cleared the cache folders to prevent from a corrupted file.

I tried both to export to an external driver (USB 2.0) and to my local C driver with no success.

I cleared my preferences, uninstalled then re-installed the Creative Cloud desktop app

I am using the latest version of CC 2017 for both Premiere and Media Encoder.

My windows 8.1 is up-to-date even for the optional updates.

I have (weardly?) 2 graphic card pilots  : AMD Radeon HD 8800M Series and Intel(R) HD Graphics Family.
And (even more weardly?) 4 identical pilots for my processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4500U CPU @ 1.80GHz

I have 16Go of RAM .

Today, i had a "VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL" error on Windows...

Windows updated automatically 2 weeks ago and caused another kind of trouble at the time. I fixed it by re-updating Windows.

I am always getting an "Error code: 3" and "Selector: 9".

I had not so much troubles using Media Encoder except since 2 weeks.

Any idea?

Converting MOV to MP4

Hi forum,

I'm using AME CS6 and would like to convert a MOV file to MP4. My format options are F4V, FLV, H.264, H.264 (legacy), and MP3. I tried to export using H.264 and ended up with a 3GP file. Is it possible to export a MP4 file using one of my 5 format options? Or are there additional steps that I'll need to take? If so, what are they?

Thanks for your help!

Is it possible to set a time when the Media Encoder render queue would start automatically?

This would be a great help, as I need to render to a shared drive, when it is not in use.

I work with the Mac version of Adobe CC.

DPX export settings AE vs Media Encoder

$

Hi all,

At the moment I am doing some comping and vfx on several DPX sequences wich I'm sending to a colorist when done. I am exporting everything to a new DPX sequence with the exactly the same settings as the one I am working on. This is going well when exporting through the render queue of AE but when I try to export the same comps with the exact same settings through Media Encoder I am getting more washed out colors. Who can tell where I am going wrong?

This is my workflow:

Project settings: 32bit depth, sRGB, Lineair Work Space.

> I import the DPX >

> Apply the Cineon converter with these settings:

cineon_settings.jpg

> Do some VFX magic

> Export through the render queue to a DPX file with these settings

cineon_export_settings_AE.jpg

> Import the footage to compare with the original DPX. Everything is fine, I am happy

But when I export the comp through the Media Encoder with these settings, things go wrong:
